Art Rental Policy
ART RENTAL POLICY
Rental Period
- Minimum 1 month introductory or trial period for new Clients/ Renters Only!
- Standard 3 month minimum contract
- Maximum 12 month renewable rental contract [renewable on mutual agreement of Client, Artist or consignee and Rental Agent - ArtworkX of Mann]
- Companies will be expected to pay either by cheque in advance or ensure that, there is an active Standing Order mandate in place, before any Artwork, Prints or delivery will be made.
- For Individual Renter’s – a Valid credit card is required on file for individual renters or they may pay by cheque if sums are less than one hundred pounds Sterling.
- Individual renters MUST have either a Standing Order or Credit Card information in place prior to delivery of their chosen artwork (ONLY APPLIES - To Individual lessee’s who use our Rental/Leasing services on a regular basis)
- All renters will be granted a seven day grace period after the Expiry date shown on the rental agreement, to return the works rented.
- If at the end of business on the seventh day in the grace period the works have not been returned, Art Rental & Sales will consider this explicit consent from the renter to automatically renew the rental and the rental return policy, starting the day following the expiry date on the previous rental contract.
Rental Fees
- Minimum monthly Rental Fee for an individual (Home Renter) is £25/mth
- Minimum monthly Rental Fee for a small business/ Sole trader is £50/mth
- Minimum monthly Rental Fee for a medium to large business is £100
- Corporate and Institutional Rental Fees start from £250/mth

Payment
- Client/ Renter is invoiced for the full period of the Agreement [ Minimum 3 months] Post-dated cheque is required before the delivery of the Artwork.
- Initial - installation and delivery of the Artwork shall be FREE, provided that, the Client/ Renter choose and advise our staff of the exact placement of each piece. Once the Artwork has been erected / installed by our staff, each piece MUST stay in situ until the initial start-up period has been completed. Regardless, of whether this period is 3 months or 1 year.
If the Client wishes to moves one or more pieces prior to the termination of this signed Agreement, they may only do so provided they...
- Let the Company know in writing
- Arrange for one of our Staff to attend to undertake the relocation/replacement of this/these pieces of work. [NOTE: Under NO circumstances is it permissible for the Client/ Renter to undertake moving the Artwork themselves, to do so would constitute a breach of our agreement and may incur penalties/Cancellation of the contract and or additional costs before termination]
- The Renter should note that, additional costs are / will be charged for any secondary relocation/re-installation of any Artwork . These are charged at a flat rate of £45.00 per hour or part thereof, minimum chargeable amount is £45.00
Purchase of Rented Artwork
- Any of the Original or printed artwork is and should be regarded at all times as available to purchase as well as rent, by the renter/Lessee. This will remain the case until otherwise advised by one of our staff.
- The option to purchase at any time during the period of rental is always there and should the renter decided to exercise this option they should:
(a) Notify us of their intention to buy, as soon as they have decided to do so and this will or may prevent disappointment if their option involves an original piece which has just been sold!
(b) They may buy directly from our website www.artworkxofmann.com using our secure payments area and remember delivery to any/all island residents is FREE, provided the delivery location is on the island.
(c) Please note that, the advertised price on the website is fixed and discounts or reductions for previous rental fees cannot be taken into account.
(d) They may purchase the piece with a reduction in advertised price. The price which the renter will/may pay to us is/may be variable as we can factor in certain criteria such as...their rental of the piece, recent payments made in respect to the rental. We recommend that, you call us for advice using our main number 0044 1624 616700.
(e) Please note that, we do not charge VAT on original works purchased either online or in reality. However, we do charge VAT on any Print of artwork imagery and this is charged at a rate of 17.5% at present and is subject to change according to local Government regulations and edits.
(f) If an original piece has already been sold...Please do ask us about commissioning a similar piece of work direct from your favourite/chosen artist. YOU MIGHT JUST BE SURPRISED, as commissioned works are not always as pricy as you may think!
(g) Remember, by buying an original it is more than ‘Just another purchase’ you are buying a work of art, usually by a local and talented artist. By doing so you are immediately increasing the worth of the Artist and of course the value of their new works. Framing, Mounting & Display
After Renter has chosen their one or more pieces of original Art and or Art Print they must choose from the display options below. Our Specialist representative will offer you guidance (Free of Charge) in respect of the Start up of your contract. All future design advice is payable and billed separately as an extra to your Art Rental agreement. This will be billed at a Flat rate of £55.00 per hour or part thereof.
- Stretched Canvas Original work - No framing required as it may be hung freestyle from hangers at the back of the Painting / work.
- Stretched Canvas Print or Ltd Edition print in the same design, same hanging procedure applies.
- Stretched canvas works may also be framed and or backed with or without glass. If the renter would like to choose this option we can arrange to have the works framed accordingly. However, the renter should note that, this will incur additional costs which will be billed separate to the Rental / leasing contract. For details and advice about this option....please ask our representative before you agree your contract.
- All works chosen from our website comes unframed as standard and will/may require framing/mounting etc.. before installation. The cost of the framing or mounting is borne solely by the lessee or renter. The renter may choose one of the following three options, in respect to payment.
- Payment in full at the time of initial sign up – By cheque, card, cash or other...
- Part payment at Start up and equal interest free phased payments over the full term of their contract (Note: Only available for contracts in excess of 6 months in duration)
- Full payment via equal interest free monthly payments added to their monthly Rental Fee (Note: Only available to rental contracts of 12 months)
Rental Agreement & Insurance
- After finalising the selection and framing details of the Artwork. ArtworkX of Mann - requires the Client/ Renter to provide insurance coverage on the Artwork which they have just chosen. Artworks are then are then placed on a contract [Agreement].
- The client/ Renter may in place of a regular Insurance like to (by a regular insurer) undertake to cover 100% of the cost of the / each Artwork themselves.
They may do this by - Ticking the box below and signing next to it the Renter agrees to reimburse the Rental Agency or Artist / owner for the exact advertised price of the work (if advertised) otherwise agree to pay an amount in agreement with the owner/Artist for the / each piece.
The client undertakes to also insure the piece/s or work/s against loss, damage and or theft whist in their care.
Renter agrees to financially reimburse to the level of 100%, the cost of each piece rented to them

- The Client (or Renter) assumes all risks for the artwork [Other than natural deterioration of the work]
- Client / Renter agrees to lessen the effects of natural deterioration by trying to choose a hanging location which is not is direct sunlight (Wherever possible) of course.
- Artwork must be insured for 100% of the advertised cost of the Artwork or Print.
Delivery and Installation
- ArtworkX of Mann can arrange delivery and professional installation of Artwork. The Lessee/Renter is responsible for all costs associated with transport to the Business and Installation upon arrival.
Delivery and Installation Fees at start-up are FREE as listed in ‘Our Services’ table 2.0
