Sure announces winner for Design a T-shirt Competition

The winner of the Sure Skate ‘Design a T-shirt’ competition has just been announced. Emma Corkish, 9 of the Youth service summer arts scheme won a free session on the ice with her entire group.
The competition was initiated by Sure in July who invited members of holiday clubs throughout the Island to submit entries. Kate Hegarty, Sure’s Marketing Manager, commented: “The Sure Skate ‘Design a T-shirt’ competition was a real hit. Kids of all ages were able to take part. The printed t-shirts look great and the group seemed thrilled to be able to have their own free skate. We’re glad we were able to contribute to a pleasant ending to their summer.”
Local Artist & Businessman, Roberto Edmanson-Harrison was the competition’s judge. Roberto is the Managing Director of ArtworkX of Mann – an Artist’s representative agency, who promote local and International artists via some 200+ linked & affiliated Art Galleries worldwide. He added: “Congratulations to all the entrants of the Sure Skate ‘Design a T-shirt’ competition! I was delighted to see such a high standard of entries, which made my decision difficult. Emma was a worthy winner as her design was unique, creative and imaginative. Her artistic ability is only equalled by her skating prowess!”
Sure Summer Skate has now closed but the rink will return again in November for the winter season. More information on dates and bookings will shortly be available at www.sureskate.com .
