Born 1950’s in Douglas, Isle of Man.
Christine was inspired throughout her early life by her mother, who was herself a successful local Artist. So it could be said of Christine that, painting are in her blood...so to speak.
Although she paints a wide variety of subjects. She much prefers oils but will do the occasional painting in watercolour.
Christine's style could be described as Naive, due to the simplicity of the image, but in reality it is in fact more complex than this as you would see if you had ever watched her paint. She likes to spend time on each piece affording each painting time to evolve and develop into what we view.
' Someone once said it takes great skill to be able to create an image that, looks that simple to create ' i believe this is true of Christine's work. Due to the time constrains and present commission levels, she could not be described as prolific, however, she has been working on some new pieces to add to her profile here onsite and we hope to be able to upload them for your delectation very soon!

Education & Experience:
She was educated at Castle Rushen High School on the Island, where she excelled in Art. In 1968, she moved to Newcastle –Upon-Tyne and attended Bath Lane College of Art. She eventually returned to her beloved Island, married and raised a family but always continued to paint.
Christine has a been a member of the Mannin Art Society and is currently a member of the Isle of Man Arts Society.
She undertakes commissioned works from local and off Island sources. Christine has exhibited her Artwork successfully both locally & off island with ever increasing UK and Irish sales.
